Structural damage in the garage

Question:

This question is submitted by April A. out of California

I live in a Condo in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. There is structural damage in my garage. To be specific the bearings are not to code. The HOA wants to tear down the entire drywall to repair but does NOT want to cover the cost of putting the drywall back to its original form. Do I have a good case to sue? This has been ongoing for over 2 years.
