Question:

Question is regarding a new requirement or law or change in Statute 720 - Florida, July 1, 2013 that states that a homeowner or member should be elected to the Board after an election has taken place and after 50 % of the homes are sold by the developer. Does this new law apply to all developers regardless when the developer started building the community, And/or before July 2013. The new law states. In Part.. "Allows members other than the developer to elect at least one member of the board if 50% of the parcels in all phases of the community have been conveyed to members." Does this new law apply to all developers regardless when they started contruction of the new community and before the new law was passed on July 1, 2013.
