We are removing our condo board. What if they refuse?

Question:

We are in the process of removing our current Board of Directors. The letter has been received by the secretary, but a meeting hasn't been set yet. We will most likely need to have our own special meeting. What are out options if the current board refuses to hand over all the books, cell phones, keys, etc? Do they have 24 hours to hand these items over, or do they need to do this immediately? We are more than likely to be given a very hard time by the current president of the board, so we want to make sure this transition goes as smoothly as possible.
