My Condo is located in California. We are small only 20 units. It seems that the board want to start charging the units that have carports extra EACH MONTH, mine being one of them. There are only 8 units that have car ports. I have lived here for 11 years and have always paid the same HOA fees that everyone else does. I spoke to several other homeowners that have lived here since they open back in 1983 and they also said everyone paid the same amount each month car port or no car port.
Can the board single use out and all of a sudden charge use more. They have increased the HOA twice already and now we 8 would have to pay even more. Is this LEGAL ?
