How does a Condo Association or HOA get FHA certification?

Posted on Thu, Sep 01, 2011 @ 07:20 AM

I reside in a condo association in Connecticut and we lost our FHA certification in May, 2011 due to the fact that the BOD failed to renew this in time. Does anyone know how we go about getting re-certified? Any help will be appreciated.

Is it fair to have a realtor on our condo association board?

A new director has been appointed to our board by the condo association's president. This new director is a Realtor by trade and she buys and sells units in our complex. Is this a conflict of interest, since she is a resident and now has access to all private information as to who may be foreclosing, behind on their common charges, etc? I reside in Connecticut.

We have organized a unit owners meeting to remove several board members. We have limited proxies for this particular vote, since the secretary refuses to cooperate; do the unit owners who organized the meeting submit the proxies?

Condo owners using petition to vote off current association board

The unit owner's at my condo complex in Connecticut are trying to vote the current board off and vote in a new one. A petition has circulated and we have more than the needed percentage. My question is, some of the unit owners printed their name, while some signed their name. All have put their unit numbers on the line with their name. The President is saying that the petition is invalid because not all owner's signed their name..is this person correct?
